El Porton became an idea 10 years ago in the hearts of Arturo and Leticia Guillermo. Living in Yuma, Arizona, one of the biggest agriculture communities they saw the desperate need for agriculture housing. After doing some basic research on the matter, they found that there was no specific structure or complex set up that was designated specifically for agriculture workers. What they found was that many companies were using hotels, schools, etc to house the workers. This resulted in poor living conditions many of the times. So thus began the project of El Porton, the first H2A approved agriculture housing complex built specifically for agriculture workers. They finished the project in October 2019 and opened the doors to house the first agriculture workers that season. El Porton is a family owned and operated business who strive to give the best care and living conditions to agriculture workers.
